Foam Rolling… What are the Benefits?



First we must discuss what Fascia is in the body. Fascis is basically a long, intricate soft tissue that connects to every thing in our body from our head to our toe. It connects all the major organs and every body part imaginable. Fascia is a connective tissue that if healthy looks likes a spyder web and is soft to the touch. However, through intense workouts and trauma accidents, these connective tissues bind to joints, muscle, and or everything. This can cause pain, inflammation and such. However, we do not have to go to physical therapy or pay numerous bills to be healed. A simple foam roller or anything imaginable can release some of this pressure. This is a staple in Vagabond CrossFit and shows wonders during warm-up and post workouts. Foam Rolling is cheap and very effective… So try it out and be amazed

Warm-Up: 3 Rounds at Own Pace:

Front Squat x 7

Butt Kicks x 20 m

Push-Ups x 7

Skill Warm-Up: Handstand Push-Ups x 3 x 5 sets or Handstand Holds x total of 90 secs

Strength WOD: Weighted Pull-ups 5-5-5-3-3-3

Met-Con WOD: 7 Rounds for time of:

Sumo Deadlift High Pull x 7

Handstand Push-Ups x 7

Front Squat x 7

Kevin’s Note: Guys use 95 lbs. Gals use 65 lbs
