"Back on the Grind"(6.7.2011)

After almost two weeks off from an infection in my leg and multiple visits to the hosital, I pretty much got the clearance from the doctors to continue my training and start working out again. He advised I wait another 7 days, but I think I would go crazy if this kept any further. I have decided not to do Regionals this year, as I am not mentally prepared and physically just do not feel 100 percent. I also feel competition lifestyle is not for me, and in the future, will think again of whether I really want to continue on with doing competitions. I am a good athlete and can compete with some of the best, but my realistic chance of actually competing in the CrossFit Games is very slim due to my obligation to my gym and expanding my business. I would like to next year put together a Vagabond Team, as this is less pressure and less time training by yourself, as this has become boring and just overall not fun! I am training like I am a professional athlete, but not getting paid for it, which I think in the end is detrimental to your body and not worth it. I will continue with my training, as if I am training for something, but I like to be able to say, Hey I want to do this today, and not be saying, OH man why did I have to do this today!!

Monday Workouts of the Day, June 6th, 2011:
A. 50-35-20 of:
Pull-Ups
Burpees
Time: 9:48
*Hands Ripped again and not a good way to come back to my first workout lol*
B. For Time of the following movements:
20 Minutes to Complete the following:
Row 500 m
30 Hang Squat Cleans @ 95 lbs
30 Box Jumps @ 30 inches
30 Hang Squat Snatches @ 95 lbs
30 Kettlebell Swings @ 2 pood
Row 500 m
Time: 11 Minutes and 9 Seconds
Remaining Time Establish a 3 Rep Max in Front Squat:
I had about 11 minutes and 10 seconds to complete a 3 rep max, all in all, had about 4 attempts and was just gassed from the last two workouts…
Weights Used: 135-165-185-225-245-255(2)

Tuesday Workout of the Day, June 7th, 2011:
Back off Day and Concentration on Strength and let my hands heal— I think I am going to do at least 2 days were I just concentrate on strength and use a Max Effort Black Style of Lifting… This is where I want to build up my ability and this is where if I am not training CrossFit Competitions, I am not forced to do anything else…
