Friday and Saturday Workouts
I hit some pretty good things the last couple of days, and felt good to keep getting a little better on my deadlifts, and really have no pain, which is the goal here from Coach Mike. Still my goal is to get more confident in my deadlift, and get back to where I was. I have been a little sidetrack as of late with my weight issues, as I have never weighed this much before in my crossfit career. I am up to 193 lbs, which is the heaviest I have ever been in my career during this sport. I can contribute this to far more strength production, but also over the last month, my diet has been off, and have been catching myself eating things that I have never really had trouble passing off. I am having at least one to two days of bad eating with either some sort of bread material, or some sort of snack that involves some bull shit. I am going to get back on track on Monday, and just get my head straight. This should be pretty easy for me, because this has never been an issue for me, and actually has been one of my strong points in the lifestyle that I live. I have always eaten well, and have always been aware of what I am eating during my training. All I can say is onward and keep moving forward. The great thing about living this lifestyle is that I do not look at this as a diet, but as a lifestyle, so you can always start over, and get back on track.
Friday, Septembr 14th, 2012 Workout:
A. Deadlift, work to a heavy single, that does not include pain or discomfort.
Worked to 440 lbs…
B1. Above Knee Power Snatch off blocks, 2 reps x 10 sets @ 155 lbs, rest 1 minute.
B2. Close Grip Bench Press @ 20×1, 1 rep x 10 sets @ 185 lbs plus 40 lbs of chains, rest 1 minute.
C. 3 Rounds for time of the following:
35 Back Extensions
35 Anchored Sit-Ups
35 Push Ups
Time: About 11 Minutes.. I was not moving terribly fast on this, and just not into it, as I had a client waiting on me, and was sidetracking me, but none less, could have moved faster.
