*Hints to Goal Setting*
As we all know, I talk alot about Goal Setting and having a plan of action for whatever you want to accomplish within your time period called Life. Without goals or something to reach for, then we are living a life that can only be half reached. Over the next few weeks, I will be doing installments of how to set goals and how to go about reaching those goals in a particuliar manner.
The first step to Goal Setting is quite simple and easy. You must have a plan of action and list of goals that you want to accomplish within a given period of time. I am not just talking about setting goals within the gym, but also outside the gym as well.
First, I want you to write five goals down on a piece of paper that you know that you want to achieve this minute. These goals can be anything from inside the gym to anything outside the gym.
Second, I want you to write a paragraph called, “The Potrait of Your Life.” This is a one paragraph writing exercise designed to help you think about how you would like to be remembered after you past in this lifetime. This will help you find the strengths and gifts to the world that you can bring on an everyday basis. This is the second step to my Goal Setting Unit, that I feel everybody should do, to see their self worth and contribution to the world they want to leave once they have passed on.
These first two steps are what I do with personal clients and within my consultations for a Lifestyle Practice. Setting Goals can set you up for long time happiness, and this is what we should be looking to do within our lives, creating Happiness in the world to better ourselves and the people around us for a long period of time.
“I wish I had known that happiness comes from going after your goals while you are alive- not from waiting for that day to occur at some point in the future.”
