Thursday, July 19th and Friday, July 20th, 2012 Workouts
I had a rest day on Thursday, so just took the whole day off and did work like usually.
Friday was a pretty good day, and felt good on my lifts again. I hit 295 lbs on my jerk, and def could have gotten more, but on the last one, I felt a twinge in the left side of my back, and now it is bothering the shit out of me. However, I am happy with the weight, but disappointed I have something else to deal with now for a small injury. It def affected my muscle ups, as I got 7 in a row, but on the next one, I felt more of a pull, and then moving onto the next ones, I felt even more. I just worked through it and got through all the work. I think it might just be a small pull, and hopefully by Monday it will be healed up with some icing and recover, as I have a solid rest day on Sunday. I am happy about this week, and now it is time to keep moving up in weight, and want to see my squat move up as well on everything. I am getting into everything and just feel good following a program for once.
Friday, July 20th, 2012 Workout:
A. Work to a heavy single quickly in the Split Jerk, worked up to 295 lbs and on.
B1. Front Squat @ 20×1, 1 rep x 3 sets, rest 3 min
had to keep a little lighter than usual, as back was spasm.
B2. Muscle Ups AMRAP x 3 sets, rest 3 min
Same thing had a lot more in the tank, and was surprised, but left side of back was holding me back, SON OF A BITCH!
C1. Russian DB Swings x 20 reps x 3 sets, rest 2 min
used 105 lbs dumbbell.
C2. Ring Push Ups @ 20×1, 12 reps x 3 sets, rest 2 min.
Split Jerk @ 295 lbs
