“Thursday Workout of the Day”, April 7th, 2011

Went to attempt the Games Day WOD 3, and got 24 reps plus 1 in, and with about a minute left, had to stop because of my shoulder. I was planning on doing it on Friday, but my eago got the best of me, and with little sleep was not a good idea. Sleep plays a major factor in your success in the gym, and this was one case, where I pushed too many buttons and fell straight on my face. I am truly disappointed in this performance, since I stil left a minute left on the clock and my shoulder was reinjured. I went to my ART guy and he worked on it for some time, and it felt alot better. The diagnosis is a partial tear in the AC Joint of the shoulder. I am going to work through it over the next few weeks, and see how it goes. Not the best decision, but for me it has to be done. I am going to attmept again on Sunday, and with the hopes of getting 30 or more reps, which is def doable and should be done!

After a few hours of rest, and going to ART guy, I decided to hit a little run workout.

A. Games Day WOD 3
AMRAP 5 of:
Squat Cleans @ 165 lbs
Jerk @ 165 lbs
B. 5 Rounds of: Every 3 Minutes Completed:
Run 400 m
Toes to Bar x 12 reps

*Shoulder a little tender, but overall not to bad, and it eased my mind a little bit!
However, as a business owner, had to deal with a leak in the roof as well, so this did not help during the day. HA*
