Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 Workout

Not a bad day of training, and some focus on some weaknesses of mine, especially handstand push ups. However, even though I was not in a high rep scheme for handstand push ups, it was the first time I felt comfortable with some depth handstand push ups, and also the pressing with dumbbells is getting much better, and feeling much stronger. I am doing some different type of training, so we will see how it transfers over to a a crossfit tester workout in the future. I am feeling pretty good, and just working away at the program.

Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 Workout:
A. Clean Pulls @ 105% @ 285 lbs x 2 reps x 5 sets, rest 2 mins, drop each rep.
B1. Deadlifts @ 20×0, moderate weight, 3 reps x 10 sets, rest 1 min
Broke into 2 sets for weight:
275-295-305-320-335
B2. Handstand Push Ups Depth @ 45 lbs plates @ 30×0, 2-3 reps x 10 sets, rest 1 min.
First 5 sets @ 3 reps, Last 5 sets @ 2 reps.
C1. DB GHD Raise Drop Set, 5.5.5 x 3 sets, rest 2 min
Used 30 lbs-25 lbs-20 lbs for sets.
C2. DB Low Incline Press @ 30×0, 8-12 reps x 3 sets, rest 2 min
55 lbs x 12 reps, 60 lbs x 12 reps, 70 lbs x 12 reps.
I could have went heavier, but kind of lost focus, because about 6 weeks ago, I would have struggled at the 70 lbs, which is showing me, that I am getting stronger in the pressing department…
