Vagabond of the Month for July: Matt Campbell

Vagabond of the Month for July: Matt Campbell

Born: February 13th, 1991

From: Bridgewater, MA

Days/Times: Monday – Friday’s 4:30 PM and the occasional Saturday morning.

Proudest Moment: My proudest moment would have to be the family that my lovely wife, Becky, and I have built over the past couple years. We are both over the moon about our daughter Aurora and can’t wait to meet our next little girl come this November. My girls are my rock and I don’t know how I was able to tackle every day without them in my life.

VBC proudest moments: That would have to be the progress I have seen over the last couple years regarding my mobility and technique with some of the more technical gymnastic movements and Olympic lifts. I had sort of plateaued for a little while and with the help of Kevin, Jay and some additional training I feel that I was able to break through some barriers that were holding me back from progressing.

Best thing about Vagabond: Surprise… surprise… the community. I hate to sound like a broken record and recant the words of every other recipient who has had to answer this question but it’s true. The community at Vagabond is welcoming, accepting and all around one badass group of some really awesome individuals. This includes not only the members, but the coaches as well. The fact is… not many people look forward to going to the gym… for a lot of people it’s considered a chore. I think at Vagabond you will find that for most members this is not the case at all. I could harp on for hours about this but if you are a long time member you know what I mean… if you’re a fairly new member I recommend you stick around a little while to understand what I am talking about… you won’t be disappointed.
