"Vagabond Team Workout and CookOut"(7.16.2011)
I. Vagabond Team Workout and Cook-Out this SATURDAY, JULY 16TH, 2011!:
Hey Vagabonds,
The first annual cook out for Vagabond will be this Saturday on July 16th starting at 2:00 pm. Also, we will have a team workout at 10:00 am to give everyone a chance to get a workout in before you indulge yourself with some goodies and food! Please, show your support and come to Vagabond to take part in these two events, and meet some new faces that you perhaps have not met yet at Vagabond CrossFit. If you plan on coming to the Team Workout, please be at the gym by 9:50 am, to allow for proper explanation of the workout and setting up the teams. Also bring whatever dish or beverages you would like to donate towards the cook out. Any items are welcomed and appreciated! Community is the building block to a successful gym, and events like these are the ones build upon relationships, or start new ones!

II. Dr. Mike Molloy Lifestyle and Nutrition Seminar on Saturday, August 6th, 2011:
Dr. Mike will be visting Vagabond CrossFit once again, and there are still some spots left open for the Seminar. All Vagabonds and Non-Vagabond are welcome. Here is some information on the event:
The day long seminar (9:30-3:00) will explore how to manage your food and lifestyle to improve weight loss, increase performance and manage inflammation. You will learn how and why people become fat and how we can tip the balance in favor of weight loss. You will also learn why some foods cause us to become chronically sick and how removing them from your diet can cause profound benefits for a range of chronic diseases. Most importantly, you will learn how to implement these changes to your diet in an easy and effective manner.
Topics will include:
macronutrient ratios
supplementation
probiotics
the importance of sleep
connection between health and mood
*Mike has worked in the medical research community for almost a decade on topics ranging from muscle regeneration to immunology and vaccine research. Additionally, he has three years of experience in the Crossfit community both as an athlete and as a coach of individuals and teams.*
