Wednesday, Workout of the Day

Went for a heavy single in the deadlift, and all in all it felt pretty good. Like I said deadlifting has been a scarcity of mine over the last two years because of my hamstring injury and back injury. I just started getting back into it a couple months ago, and overall I am getting stronger each time. Today I could have pushed heavier, but stayed at where I was comfortable, and just wanted to feel good doing this weight, and also keep my technique on point. I felt pretty good, and hoping at some point it will crawl back up to the 500 lbs range for my deadlift… It will sometime, but my goal as of right now, if I ever do a max deadlift, it will be over 455 to 465 lbs with out causing injury to myself.

Everything else felt pretty good, and just went moderate with the other weights for the day…

A. Deadlift, work to a heavy single…
Worked up to 435 lbs…
B1. Above Knee Power Snatch Cluster, 1.1 @ moderate weight x 10 sets, rest 1 minute.
115 x 2 sets, 125 x 2 sets, 135 x 2 sets, 145 x 2 sets, 155 x 2 sets
B2. Close Grip Bench Press @ 20×1, moderate weight x 2 reps x 10 sets, rest 1 minute.
Used 155 lbs plus 40 lbs of chains..
C1. Kettlebell Swings @ 70 lbs x 16 reps x 3 sets, rest 1:30
C2. Kipping Ring Dips x 15 reps x 3 sets, rest 1:30
