Week 3: Day 4: Thursday, June 21st, 2012

I had to do another double today, since I had to make up yesterdays workout for today. The first portion of the workout was very taxing, and some of the movements I hate alot as of right now, but I know in the long run, they will help with my squatting ability. I was feeling pretty lazy today, and was contemplating whether or not to workout, but at the end of the day, I am glad I got the work in the end of it all. I felt decent on the power cleans, but I am having issues with some technique, as the weight feels very light, but my third pull is very slow as of right now, and is really limiting my ability to get the weight that I want to get in the long run. I have to review some videos, but I know it is my third pull, as I feel I am not quick enough under the barbell, and my elbows are just slow, which is very aggravating to say the least. The first and second pull are very easy for me, and the weight feels extremely light, but my third pull needs some work. We will see in time how this goes.

I am happy with my eating as of late, as I am eating big meals, and getting some energy into my body, which I need to keep up with the workouts that I am doing. I will keep on task, and will keep eating as much food as possible!

Thursday, June 21st, 2012 Workouts:
AM SESSION
A. Power Clean, work to a tough double,, worked up to 245 lbs x 2 reps.
B1. Clean Grip Deadlift @ 30×0, 5-5-3-3-3, rest 3 min

B2. Depth Handstand Push Ups, 2-3 repsĀ  x 5 sets @ 30×0, rest 3 min, used 45 lb and 10 lbs plates
3-3-3-3-2 reps all completed.
C1. Alternating Barbell Step-Ups @ 11×0- 20 inch box, 8/leg x 3 sets, restĀ 1 min
115-135-155
C2. One Arm DB Rows @ 20×0, 6-8 arm x 3 sets, rest 1 min, used 35 lbs to concentrate on perfect tech.
D. DB Split Squats @ 65 lbs x 12 reps x 3 sets, I hate these and despise these… But I know they are worth it.

PM SESSION:
